Eggs lower in cholesterol

LONDON: Eggs are actually 14 percent lower in cholesterol and 64 percent higher in vitamin D than previously thought, according to the findings of a study.
Researchers found that while protein content (6 grams) and calories (70) remained the same, the average amount of cholesterol in one large egg decreased from 212 mg to 185 mg, 14 percent lower than previously recorded in 2002. The study also revealed that large eggs now contain 41 IU of vitamin D, up 64 percent. How is this possible? Well, they're not quite sure, but some scientists theorize that it could be related to improvements in the quality of hens' feed over the past decade. "You are what you eat" isn't exclusive to humans.
According to the American Egg Board, "Enjoying an egg a day can fall within current cholesterol guidelines, particularly if individuals opt for low-cholesterol foods throughout the day.

The science of kissing: What Our Lips are telling us perhaps the definitive work to date on the very old habit or locking lips.
What do you know?
This is the traditional Eskimo kiss does actually involve rubbing noses, as is believed, but rather a kind of “nuzzle-sniff?
Psychologists report that most of us can remember up to 90% of the details of our first kiss?
That’s what makes a great kiss is not lust, but trust and honesty? Who knew?
Only two of the three people tilt their head to the right when they go to a kiss?
“If there is one message to make you leave this book, I hope this will be the following: Do not give up on romance,” writes Kirshenbaum. “A kiss can be one of the most extraordinary shared between two people and understand the science behind it can help to improve all the time.”
Kirshenbaum book covers everything from possible diseases associated with kissing, kissing in the Song of Songs. Mae West

Do you buy Activia because Jamie Lee Curtis says you should? Or a Sony TV because Peyton Manning is their pitchman? What about that stash of Extenze you keep in the bedside table — did you purchase that on the recommendation of Jimmy Johnson? A new study shows that the answer to all these questions is probably a big "no."
The study by Ace Metrix, looked at 263 unique nationally televised ads featuring celebrity endorsements from 2010. The ads represented 16 industries and 110 brands and all the ads were tested within 48 hours of their first national airing in an attempt to get an immediate, untainted reaction.
The ads were scored in eight different categories, including relevance, watchability, persuasion and desire. And in ever single category, the ads featuring celebrities fared worse than the non-celebrity control group of ads. Readmore: Extenze

Girl Talk

When I first heard Girl Talk, I was reviewing his 2006 album, Night Ripper. It was this kaleidoscopic mix of DJ samples made into songs. And the variety of the parts was staggering. Commercial hip-hop rode on rock riffs, 70′s soul crashed into 80′s new wave, Brit-pop floated above electronic beat hits. I had heard mashups before but this stuff was intense… overwhelming. “What IS this?” I thought, and put it back on the shelf.
That next summer I heard Night Ripper everywhere. Blasting out of the mechanic’s shop down the street. At parties. And most memorably in my friend Tyron’s car during a road trip. Once I stopped resisting, I started to hear the depth of this DJ’s musical knowledge. All of AMERICA was in this music. Each sample was a slice of our culture… dirty, explosive, reactive… commercial, underground, new, old… but most of all this music was undeniably danceable and fun. Ty helped me find a track clean enough to play on the radio. “Summer Smoke” featuring MIA:
The next album was 2008′s Feed the Animals but although this was a fun record it is no match for the masterpiece Girl Talk just dropped this past few months. All Day came out in November of 2010 and it’s so filled with familiar, lovable samples that just tossing it on at a New Year’s eve party was enough to get everyone to dance. This was especially interesting since, as any live dancefloor DJ knows, people won’t usually dance to songs they don’t know. But there was enough that most people identified with to make them feel comfortable. Very impressive. This song “Let It Out” features people like Jay-Z, General Public, Jean Knight, Fugazi, Beck, Busta Rhymes and Barry White: Girl Talk

TUNIS, Tunisia (AP) — Police and protesters clashed in the center of the Tunisian capital Wednesday, bringing unrest to the government's doorstep after nearly a month of violent protests that pose the most serious challenge to the autocratic president's two decades of iron–fisted rule.
Police fired tear gas at hundreds of protesters at a main intersection, driving them to disperse into adjoining streets. Stores in the area were shuttered.
It was not immediately clear whether there were any injuries or arrests.
Two army vehicles were posted at the intersection, which is right by the French Embassy.
The fighting erupted hours after the interior minister was fired, a move that intensified a sense of uncertainty and questions about what's next for autocratic President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali — questions that have never been openly posed during his time in power.
The protests over Tunisia's soaring unemployment and corruption erupted after a young man tried to kill himself. They spread as social networks like Facebook (News - Alert) spread word of the unrest despite tight control of the media.
Police have repeatedly shot at demonstrators setting fire to buildings and stoning police. The government says 23 people have died but unions and witnesses put the toll at 46 or higher.
The upheaval has ravaged the nation's reputation as a stable and moderate Muslim nation and highlighted its inability to provide opportunities for its young.
It began in the center of the country, far from the Mediterranean beaches popular with European tourists, but riots were reported late Tuesday in the Ettadhamoun neighborhood three miles (five kilometers) west of Tunis before spreading to the center of town.
"We are worried, in general, about the unrest and the instability, and what seems to be the underlying concerns of the people who are protesting," U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in an interview in Dubai with Al Arabiya television, according to a transcript provided by the State Department.
Prime Minister Mohamed Ghannouchi announced the firing of interior minister Rafik Belhaj Kacem, and said that most prisoners arrested during the riots are being freed. He said official Ahmed Friaa would replace Kacem.
Ghannouchi announced the creation of two inquiry commissions to probe "excesses committed during the troubles" and "the question of corruption and faults committed by certain officials," the statement said.
The president, who has previously announced major cabinet changes, made no public appearance Wednesday.
In a statement carried by the state news agency TAP, Ghannouchi did not give figures on how many people would be freed, but said the government would not be releasing protesters whose guilt has been proven.
Kacem kept his job in a government reshuffle last month, but pressure on Tunisia's leadership has mounted as the protests took an especially violent turn.
"It seems to be a combination of economic and political demonstrations, and the government's reaction, which has been unfortunately leading to the deaths of some of the protestors. So we are not taking sides in it, we just hope there can be a peaceful resolution of it," Clinton said.
The prime minister's reference to excesses may have referred to the handling of rioters in certain towns. The majority of the dead were counted in three days of unrest, from Saturday to Monday, in the central town of Kasserine.
The statement also said the two houses of parliament would be called to an extraordinary session Thursday for an "open debate" on measures announced Monday by Ben Ali that include a promise to create 300,000 jobs over two years, particularly meant to benefit university graduates. All My Life Lyrics

Music: A simple five letter word. One that holds so much importance in our society. Many people state that without music they would be lost. I am one of those people.
To me, music is not just an activity, it is a way of life. Music is my life.
Without it, in my opinion, the world would be boring. It is a way for the people of the world to share their creativity. Just like painting, drawing, or writing, music is an art. An art that we all use on a daily basis.
I've become one with music, finding myself and my goals along the way. Music is a part of me. It is what makes me the person I am. I can't go a day without listening to music. This is just who I've become. Without music, I wouldn't be the girl I am today.
I've found that I relate with music, that I can relate with the lyrics, the melody, and the tone of a song.
Over time I've noticed that my mood reflects on the type of music I listen to. When I think about it there really isn't a time when my mood doesn't reflect upon my music. When I'm upset or crying, the type music I listen to is usually slow and depressing, and when I'm happy my music is happy. It is upbeat and fun.
And when I'm angry or irritated, once again my music reflects me. In my opinion, people listen to music that reflects their mood, because they can relate to the lyrics and emotion in a song.
Many musicians write from real life experience. Whether they are writing about their own experiences or those of someone they know, musicians and songwriters make their songs realistic. They make it to where people, like you and me, can easily relate to what they are singing.
I find it comforting to know that someone else in this great big world has or is going through the same problems I am, and sometimes it is even helpful to listen to music, because some musicians even put solutions to their problems into their songs.
So before you know it, you've subconsciously found the solution you needed.
Though you may not always find a solution from music, it is still nice to be able to get lost in your own thoughts now and then. Music can provide a sort of wall between you and reality. It can help you block out the rest of the world if you let it. Listening to music allows the rest of the world to fade away, and it lets your mind wander.
If you are feeling anti-social and don't want to talk with people, music can act as your shield. Simply put on a pair of headphones and escape into your own world. I've noticed that people tend to not mess with you when you are listening to music.
Music has many purposes in my life. I use it in my day to day activities, to help me concentrate, to inspire me, and so much more. Though some people say that music can be a distraction, for me it's the opposite.
Music helps me concentrate. I listen to it when I'm doing my school work, especially when I'm writing essays, speeches, and blogs.
It enables me to block out all other distractions. I also listen to music when I am working. I am a casting director's assistant, I also double as her secretary and runner. When I have to create spreadsheets, write emails, or post ads for my boss, I listen to music.
This helps me keep concentrated and get the job done efficiently. I listen to music throughout the entire day. I
listen to it while I'm cleaning because it keeps me moving, and usually helps me stay motivated to get the job done. I also listen to music while I'm cooking, because it keeps my creative “juices” flowing. Listening to music when I'm tiered is always good, because it helps me drift off into my own world.
Music is what makes me, me. Not only do I listen to music, but I also write and sing it.
I'm a musician, I love to sing and write my own songs. This is also why music is so important to me. It is a huge part of who I am, it defines me.
A total stranger could listen to one of my songs, and they would be able to see the type of person I am, by my lyrics and my voice. Music is my inspiration. Inspiration for my life and my future. Anyone who knows me will back me up when I say that I don't go a day without music.
Music is my creativity. It is me. I am music. I am what they call a right brained person, which means the right side of my brain is my dominant side. Meaning that I am more of a creative and artistic person, rather than being more mathematical and logical. My creativity shines through my music.
I've found that I can express myself through music and that whatever I'm feeling will reflect into it. Readmore: All My Life Lyrics

Sean Smith is leaving as Los Angeles bureau chief of Entertainment Weekly to serve overseas in the Peace Corps for two years. His farewell note went out today.
From: Sean Smith
Subject: Leaving EW. And America. And Journalism (for now).
Dear Friends,
As many of you know, I am leaving my job at Entertainment Weekly and have joined the Peace Corps in South Africa as an HIV/AIDS prevention volunteer. Today, Friday, is my last day at work, and then I’ll be gone for two years and three months. For those of you I know through work, please contact Thom_Geier@xxxxxx and Jeff_Giles@xxxxxxx regarding any movie-related questions. No replacement has been hired for me yet, but if you have great suggestions, please contact jess_cagle@xxxxxxxxx. For all of you, I have attached a PDF of my new contact information, should you like to stay in touch. (I’d love that.) I’ll be posting video and updates on Facebook as I can, but I will be in a rural area with infrequent email access so that will be sporadic. I will have no phone or email access until April 1, and then will have access probably once a month after that, so if you don’t hear from me for awhile, that will be why. Thank you all for being such a joy to work with these past 13 years. It’s been an honor, and a true pleasure, to know you. I will miss you. Readmore: Peace Corps

Witch Hunt FBI: the FBI is compiling a list of Americans deemed a potential threat for criticizing their representatives. Even though Jared Loughner, the shooter in Saturday’s Tucson tragedy, was not politically motivated, the FBI is visiting the homes of politically conservative bloggers.
Clay Bowler, who ran a blog last year criticizing Republican Congressman Billy Long, was shocked to see an FBI agent turn up on his doorstep asking questions. The FBI agent wanted to know if Bowler was a threat to Long because he had used an Internet blog to highlight claims of cronyism and corruption involving the Congressman before the southwest Missouri election in November, in which Long defeated Democrat Scott Eckersley to replace outgoing Rep. Roy Blunt.
Bowler ran a website called “Long is wrong” in an attempt to prevent Long from being elected last year. The website has since been discontinued and Bowler hasn’t had any contact with Long since September.

Like anyone who has seen an episode of 'Mad Men,' when we heard that Christina Hendricks had posed for Playboy, we were more than a little curious to see the photos.
What we got, however, was more like scary Barbie shot-girl than sixties siren.
The photos starring Hendricks, which appeared in the July 1999 issue of the racy mag, show the actress sans her trademark red locks, wearing a platinum blond wig and a very '90s silver string bikini.
Other than the the oily, tan, thong-wearing guy she's straddling, the most disturbing part of the photo is the addition of a scary, boozy clown, whose sole purpose seems to be keeping teenage boys, who happen upon the picture, from ever stealing their dad's Playboy again.

In a new book -- and an interview on ABC's 20/20 -- President Ronald Reagan's son says he saw evidence of his father's Alzheimer's disease back during his years in the White House.
"There was just something that was off, I couldn't quite put my finger on it," Ron Reagan said in 20/20 interview airing Friday night.
The younger Reagan said his father often didn't seem sharp during their political debates. At another point, Ron Reagan saw his father read from not cards as he made phone calls.
"It wasn't like oh my God he doesn't remember he's President," Reagan said. "You know, it was just -- I had an inkling something was going on."
CAPTIONBy Tim Dillon, USA TODAY
With the centennial of Reagan's birth coming up Feb. 6, his son has written a book called My Father at 100: A Memoir.
Doctors have said that Reagan did not develop Alzheimer's until after his presidency.
The elder Reagan disclosed his disease in late 1994.
Whatever the details,
In hindsight, Ron Reagan believes what he say were early signs of Alzheimer's. But Reagan is adamant that his father's illness shouldn't mar his legacy.

Losing patience, Klaatu slips into the human world, adapting a false identity and living at a boarding house where he meets a smart woman with a conscience and her inquisitive son. Darren Aronofsky, who directed the movie, is up for the Best Director award. Like I said, I feel like this movie is going to sweep tonight’s awards show on VH1.
True Grit and The Social Network are also up for the Best Picture award among other categories for their motion picture ensemble. Matt Damon who starred in Grit will be honored tonight with the Joe Siegel award. Jesse Eisenberg (Social Network) and Jeff Bridges (True Grit) are up for Best Actor for their roles last year. The Social Network is also going up against The Fighter, and The King’s Speech for Best Acting Ensemble. While we are on the subject of True Grit, Hailee Steinfeld, the 14-year-old leading lady of the film is up for the Best Young Actor/Actress category (she will win).

I Have A Dream Speech

Rarely in American history have we seen such a powerful orator as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. If you want to explain to your kids why we honor this heroic figure on Martin Luther King Day 2011, watch this video of Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” speech. More than any Martin Luther King Jr. quotes or seeing the text of the speech, it explains why Dr. King’s legacy continues to influence us some 40 years after his death.
I get chills watching him deliver “I Have a Dream” and knowing that he has made this world better for our children. Watch Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” speech below. What do your kids think of this? Are they being taught about Martin Luther King Jr. at school?

Ophiuchus Personality

Now that we have heard about the new zodiac Ophiuchus, we now ask what personality traits Ophiuchus have (aside from the question of how exactly the word is pronounced). Is it a mix between Scorpio and Sagittarius? I found this from The-red-thread.net: Ophiuchus Personality Traits.
Ophiuchus: interpreter of dreams, vivid premonitions, attracts good luck and fruitful blessings, serpent holder, lofty ideals, a seeker of peace and harmony, doctor of medicine or science, natural-pathic, adds, increases, joins, or gathers together poetical, inventive nature, expanding qualities, seeks higher education and wisdom, overseer, supervisor of work, fame – either grand, or completely misunderstood, longevity, aspirations of healing the ills of man, architect, builder, reaches for the stars, figuratively and literally, tax assessor, or levys taxes, astrological talents, intuitive, large family indicated, but apt to be separated from them when young, the number twelve holds great significance, foresight and good fortune to benefit from hard times, has secret enemies in family or close associations, many jealous of this subject, notable father, apple of father’s eye when young, high position in life expected [depending on aspects] highest fame and legend comes after death feelings of granular, wise, genius mentality, likes to wear clothing of vibrant colors, and plaids in particular, receives the favor of those in authority.

Beatification

The Vatican’s Congregation for the Causes of Saints today published the decree announcing the beatification of John Paul II.
Vatican spokesman Fr Federico Lombardi said Pope Benedict XVI will perform the beatification in Rome on May 1, which is Divine Mercy Sunday, a feast day instituted by John Paul II.
Cardinals and bishops of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints confirmed yesterday that a French nun had been miraculously cured of Parkinson’s thanks to the late pope’s intercession.
It will be only the second time the Pope has waived his own rule to preside at a beatification Mass himself.
Reports suggest that John Paul II’s body will be moved to a chapel in St Peter’s in time for the beatification. It is thought to be St Sebastian’s chapel, which until now has contained the remains of Blessed Innocent XI (1676-1689).
The Congregation said in its decree that a beatification is an “important sign of the depth of faith, of the diffusion of faith in the path of life of that person”, a sign that would become a “stimulus for us all towards a Christian life ever more profound and full … John Paul II’s pontificate was an eloquent and clear sign, not only for Catholics, but also for world public opinion, for people of all colour and creed”.
In an interview with Vatican Radio, Archbishop Angelo Amato, prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, said there were “no corners cut” in assessing the miracle.
He said the case was subjected to “particularly careful scrutiny” to avoid any doubt and “to honour the dignity and memory of this great pope”.
Sister Marie Simon-Pierre was diagnosed with aggressive Parkinson’s in 2001. After John Paul’s death, her order began praying for his intercession. According to the testimony, Sister Marie Simon-Pierre woke up with her condition cured after having written John Paul II’s name on a piece of paper.
According to Vatican watcher John Allen Jr, reports earlier this year implied that she had fallen ill again, and that “at least one physician questioned the diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease, suggesting it may have been some other nervous disorder. Beatification

Ruby

Any one of the many allegations levelled at Silvio Berlusconi over the years would probably be sufficient to sink a prime minister in most countries, but the scandal which could finally undo him is perhaps the most scurrilous of them all. It combines an underage belly dancer, ribald sex parties and claims of political interference with the police.
The unwitting protagonist in this particular tale is Karima el-Mahroug, who also goes under the stage monicker of Ruby Rubacuori, or Ruby Heartstealer.
According to a series of media reports last October, Berlusconi met Mahroug, then 17, through Nicole Minetti, a TV showgirl turned dental hygienist who acquired a post in Berlusconi's Freedom People party after catching his eye while cleaning his teeth.
Mahroug insisted that she had not slept with the 74-year-old prime minister, but she told Italian newspapers that she attended "bunga bunga" sex parties at his mansion near Milan. At one of these, Mahroug said, she sat next to Berlusconi, who later took her upstairs and gave her an envelope containing €7,000. She said he also gave her jewellery.
Their acquaintance came to light after Mahroug was arrested in Milan for allegedly stealing cash. The station commander said that she was released after police received a call from the prime minister's office saying – incorrectly – that she was the granddaughter of Egypt's long-serving president, Hosni Mubarak.
Berlusconi ridiculed opposition calls for him to resign over the affair, saying: "As always, I work without interruption and if occasionally I happen to look a beautiful girl in the face, it's better to like beautiful girls than to be gay." Readmore: Ruby Scandal Under Investigation

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- On December 21, 2010, CEO of CBS Leslie Moonves issued a statement to the Hollywood Reporter (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/blogs/thr-esq/filmons-alki-david-challenges-cbs-62052 ) regarding Alki David's "incendiary video" which was posted on YouTube and which detailed CNET/CBS Interactive's participation in widespread, "malicious copyright infringement" (United States District Court Southern District of New York -- 06 CV 5936 (KMW)). Mr. Moonves was quoted as saying that, "He (Alki David) is hardly an expert on intellectual property rights. CNET respects such rights."
In response Billionaire Alki David said, "Whilst looking for evidence to bolster my fight with CBS (CBS vs FilmOn Southern District 1:2010-cv07532), my eyes were opened to a terrible injustice. I love America and it saddens me that a great symbol of American culture like CBS can be soiled by the greed of so few."
Mr. David has just released a second video in response, which can be found at http://www.viaconned.com. The video is even more fact filled and includes a discussion by a leading copyright expert, Michael Zeller of Quinn Emanuel.
As demonstrated in the new video and supported by Court documents, CNET.com -- also known as download.com -- was responsible for distributing 95.5% of all LimeWire downloads. In May 2010, U.S. District Judge Kimba Wood granted a summary judgment in favor of the music industry's claims that LimeWire's software maker and its founder Mark Gorton committed copyright infringement, engaged in unfair competition, and induced copyright infringement (United States District Court Southern District of New York -- 06 CV 5936 (KMW)).
About Michael Zeller
Mr. Zeller has been frequently named as one of the nation's top intellectual property litigators. In 2009, Michael Zeller received the prestigious California Lawyer Attorney of the Year (CLAY) award for "extraordinary achievements" in intellectual property litigation. Mr. Zeller was featured in the January 2010 issue of The American Lawyer, which named Quinn Emanuel as the "Top Intellectual Property Firm in the U.S.," and in the January 2010 issue of IP Law & Business magazine.

Jersey Shore Season 3 Episode 2

As I watched a video of The Situation hawking his new, trademarked, "Gym, Tan, Laundry Bag" on 'The View,' I, for the first time achieved a level of respect for the hosts. They had to sit there, in front of millions of people, and act like a suit bag that is simultaneously a laundry bag, is a good idea.
That takes unwavering pride-swallowing skills, especially when they realize that the name of the bag implies that there are enough dudes out there who wear suits -- most likely sans shirt -- to the gym to necessitate a bag designed specifically for this particular type of moron. How does your product address the "Gym" and "Tan" features it claims to offer its consumer, Mr. Sorrentino? I will let you know as soon as mine arrives.
Oh yeah, and everyone in the house is going to ream each other out, then try to feel each other up.
I don't know if the fact that nothing ever happens on 'Jersey Shore' makes my job harder or easier, but I'm continually amazed that they can get away with it. We picked up this week where we left off last -- the fallout from the Sammi/Jenni brawl that ended with Mike saying, "This has been a crazy night," but I beg to differ. "Crazy" would have been Sammi and Jenni coming to a mutual agreement and going shopping for pantsuits together.
The house is clearly divided into three camps: Ronnie and Sammi, Snooki, Deena and Jenni, and the neutral camp of Mike, Vinny and Pauly. This is not to say that those lines are carved in stone as Snooki started to show some compassion for Sammi and her past with Ronnie, and Deena is just not a likeable person. This led to Sammi questioning Ronnie's allegiance: Does it lie with her, or his old pal Snooki?
Deena and Snooki refused to let anyone think that they don't "have fun," and if you thought they didn't know how to have fun, they got into suitcases, fell off hammocks, hid in bushes and played one-on-one kickball on the roof until you believed them. I would have taken their word for it if it meant not having to see them try to retrieve their ball from the adjacent roof. How many 'Jersey Shore' members does it take to get a ball off a roof, indeed.
Mike was hell-bent on rallying the house and getting everyone back together after what transpired on the first night. He woke everybody up with no resistance, until he got to Ronnie who had, unsurprisingly, had "enough with the 'family' s@#t." Thank you, Ronnie. Just because you overuse certain words doesn't mean you understand them. Words like "family," "crazy" and "bitch" lose their meaning when you refuse to use them judiciously. You're a family as much as dancing at a club is crazy, but The Sitch does what he can.
The boys and Sammi hit the gym, while the girls went on talking trash about Sammi, and tanning. I want to feel sympathy for Sammi since she really has no one in the house and is starting to lose Ronnie as well, but as soon as I'm about to start tearing up, I remember ... SHE'S ON THE BLEEPING 'JERSEY SHORE,' and at some point she had this conversation:
MTV goon: "So, Sammi. Any interest in going back down the shore with all your sworn enemies in what will most likely end up with you sobbing uncontrollably on a bean-bag chair after taking a swing at a cop?"
Sammi: "Sure."
Then the gang got ready to go out, only Ronnie and Sammi decided to stay in for the night. It's difficult to tell if they just want to be a normal couple or if they're so insecure that they're afraid that if they leave their room they'll find out they're not really in love so much as a horribly controlling relationship. But it's T-Shirt time for everybody else, and the notion that "vanity is the quicksand of reason" never rang more true.
They went to Karma where Deena was eager to demonstrate how her skanking skills translate from the house to the club. The popularity of the show must make these sequences impossible to film. A girl followed Vinny around the club all night, presumably to put "girl who followed Vinny around the club" on her resume. Meanwhile, Snooki hid in a bush, because "honestly, like, who hides in a bush?" I know who hides in a bush: Someone who makes a living being an idiot and is out of ideas. Don't think Snooki didn't have this conversation:
MTV goon: "No, Snooki. You already flashed the bartender. You need to take it up a notch."
Snooki: "I could hide in this bush for no reason. That's crazy, right?"
MTV goon: "No, but, whatever."
Vinny and Mike came out of the evening with only one girl between them, and this brought about an interesting dilemma: Who gets to pretend to have sex with her under the covers while we watch as if through night-vision goggles? It turned out not to be much of a dilemma, as Vinny decided he would lock Mike out, leaving him "stuck with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich right now."
To that, Deena offered her "services," and The Situation had quite a laugh over that. Generally, if people prefer the company of a kindergartner's lunch treat to you, you have no redeeming qualities.
Ronnie and Sammi continued to sequester themselves from the rest of the house. They got up and went to church, going MIA for the entire day on Sunday. Much to the displeasure of everyone else. If nothing else, 'Jersey Shore' makes it abundantly and disturbingly clear that stupid is the new normal when we see Ronnie and Sam marginalized for trying to have a relationship.
Sunday was for staying in and preparing a "family dinner" that also served as some sort of effed-up Jersey penance type thing where they squash all their differences from the previous week. All the talk was of Sammi and Ronnie and their betrayal of the sacred Sunday dinner. They magically returned during the meal, and thus began the night of a thousand awkward silences. Pauly called them out, but Ronnie and Sammi weren't having any of it.
All the talk around the house was about Sammi, and Jenni was done, but Snooki felt bad for Sammi and what Ronnie did to her in Miami. In all honesty, I feel for Ronnie. There's nothing worse than having to please your girlfriend and your friends when they won't have anything to do with each other. He was ready to choose Sammi until she played the whole trust/Miami card. Mike wants his boy back, but that means the girls too, and Sammi wants them crippled, and you could see Ronnie being pulled, and beginning to tear when he told Sammi, "You don't always have to be up my ass." Former super model Christie Brinkley graces the cover of the February 2011 issue of Prevention magazine. In the issue she talks about her love live since her high-profile divorce from the cheating scoundrel Peter Cook.
She says in Prevention that the 56-year-old says she’s in no hurry to find love again. She is divorced from pop-star Billy Joel and has been divorced from Peter Cook for two years.
Most of the time, I’ve got my kids with me, so I’m not as prone to meeting people,” Brinkley tells February’s Prevention, out Tuesday. “And then, you never really know if someone is talking to you because you’re a celebrity. It’s not my number one priority.
Brinkley says she’s always been about being a mother and her children are her top priority. Her children are Alexa Ray, 25, Jack, 15, and Sailor 12.
I always knew I wanted to be a mother … it takes a lot of work,” Brinkley says. “My work makes me a better mom. It gives me a little door to step out of my parenting and bring the excitement from that day back home.
