Music: A simple five letter word. One that holds so much importance in our society. Many people state that without music they would be lost. I am one of those people.
To me, music is not just an activity, it is a way of life. Music is my life.
Without it, in my opinion, the world would be boring. It is a way for the people of the world to share their creativity. Just like painting, drawing, or writing, music is an art. An art that we all use on a daily basis.
I've become one with music, finding myself and my goals along the way. Music is a part of me. It is what makes me the person I am. I can't go a day without listening to music. This is just who I've become. Without music, I wouldn't be the girl I am today.
I've found that I relate with music, that I can relate with the lyrics, the melody, and the tone of a song.
Over time I've noticed that my mood reflects on the type of music I listen to. When I think about it there really isn't a time when my mood doesn't reflect upon my music. When I'm upset or crying, the type music I listen to is usually slow and depressing, and when I'm happy my music is happy. It is upbeat and fun.
And when I'm angry or irritated, once again my music reflects me. In my opinion, people listen to music that reflects their mood, because they can relate to the lyrics and emotion in a song.
Many musicians write from real life experience. Whether they are writing about their own experiences or those of someone they know, musicians and songwriters make their songs realistic. They make it to where people, like you and me, can easily relate to what they are singing.
I find it comforting to know that someone else in this great big world has or is going through the same problems I am, and sometimes it is even helpful to listen to music, because some musicians even put solutions to their problems into their songs.
So before you know it, you've subconsciously found the solution you needed.
Though you may not always find a solution from music, it is still nice to be able to get lost in your own thoughts now and then. Music can provide a sort of wall between you and reality. It can help you block out the rest of the world if you let it. Listening to music allows the rest of the world to fade away, and it lets your mind wander.
If you are feeling anti-social and don't want to talk with people, music can act as your shield. Simply put on a pair of headphones and escape into your own world. I've noticed that people tend to not mess with you when you are listening to music.
Music has many purposes in my life. I use it in my day to day activities, to help me concentrate, to inspire me, and so much more. Though some people say that music can be a distraction, for me it's the opposite.
Music helps me concentrate. I listen to it when I'm doing my school work, especially when I'm writing essays, speeches, and blogs.
It enables me to block out all other distractions. I also listen to music when I am working. I am a casting director's assistant, I also double as her secretary and runner. When I have to create spreadsheets, write emails, or post ads for my boss, I listen to music.
This helps me keep concentrated and get the job done efficiently. I listen to music throughout the entire day. I
listen to it while I'm cleaning because it keeps me moving, and usually helps me stay motivated to get the job done. I also listen to music while I'm cooking, because it keeps my creative “juices” flowing. Listening to music when I'm tiered is always good, because it helps me drift off into my own world.
Music is what makes me, me. Not only do I listen to music, but I also write and sing it.
I'm a musician, I love to sing and write my own songs. This is also why music is so important to me. It is a huge part of who I am, it defines me.
A total stranger could listen to one of my songs, and they would be able to see the type of person I am, by my lyrics and my voice. Music is my inspiration. Inspiration for my life and my future. Anyone who knows me will back me up when I say that I don't go a day without music.
Music is my creativity. It is me. I am music. I am what they call a right brained person, which means the right side of my brain is my dominant side. Meaning that I am more of a creative and artistic person, rather than being more mathematical and logical. My creativity shines through my music.
I've found that I can express myself through music and that whatever I'm feeling will reflect into it. Readmore: All My Life Lyrics
